If you’re going to have a game night, yummy snacks are a must. My girls beg me to make this addictive snack for our family game nights.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups plain Cheerios
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
Directions
Mix the first seven ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside. Melt butter in a 12 inch skillet over medium heat, then add the spice mixture to the melted butter. Cook the spice mixture in the butter for 30 seconds until it's fragrant. Add all the Cheerios, and stir the cereal util it is well coated in the butter mixture.
Cook the cereal for 3-5 minutes, stirring often to toast evenly. Once the cereal is toasted, remove the pan from the heat and evenly spread the Cheerios onto a cookie sheet to cool. Allow the cereal to cool for five minutes, then serve.
